Do not leave the heat patch on the same area of skin for more than 8 hours in any 24-hour interval and do not use more than one patch on the same area of skin per day. The heat patch is for external use only. If pain worsens or remains unchanged after seven days, stop use and contact a doctor. Do not use in combination with medicines for use on the skin or with other heat sources. Do not heat in an oven or microwave. Do not cut, damage, or get wet. For single use only. When SHOULD I not use the Voltaren Heat Patch? Do not use it: if you have ever had an allergic reaction to a heat patch. on areas of skin with impaired heat sensitivity or on damaged skin. on children under 12 years of age or on people who cannot remove the heat patch themselves. on bruises or swelling. not within 48 hours of the injury. while sleeping. if the contents of the heat patch leak out and/or the cover of the patch is damaged or torn. Remove and dispose of the heat patch before a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan and apply a new one after the scan. What precautions should I take? Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before using this product if any of the following apply to you: poor circulation, pregnancy, nerve damage (e.g. loss of sensitivity due to diabetes), rheumatoid arthritis, skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or very delicate or sensitive skin. If you are over 65, talk to a doctor or pharmacist before use, as your skin may be very delicate or sensitive. Do not lie on the patch. Do not apply pressure to the patch during use (e.g. by applying the patch under a belt or bandage). Heat patches can cause burns. Stop use and talk to a doctor or pharmacist if you experience any discomfort, burning, swelling, rash, or any other changes to your skin that persist at the application site. This heat patch contains iron. If you swallow the powder from the patch, consult a doctor immediately. If the powder from the patch comes into contact with your eyes or skin, rinse the affected areas with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
