Indications: For the prevention of rickets (calcification disorders of the skeleton during growth, also in premature babies) and osteomalacia (softening of the bones in adults). For the prevention of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults with a recognizable risk of otherwise healthy individuals without malabsorption (impaired absorption of vitamin D in the intestine). For the supportive treatment of osteoporosis (degradation of bone tissue) in adults. Warnings: Contains sucrose (sugar). Ingredients
1 tablet contains 25 µg cholecalciferol, equivalent to 1000 IU vitamin D3.
Instructions for use
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual daily dose is: For the prevention of rickets: ½ tablet of Vigantol® 1000 IU (equivalent to 500 IU of vitamin D). For the prevention of rickets in premature babies: In general, 1 tablet of Vigantol® 1000 I is taken daily to prevent rickets in premature babies.
