SUBSTRAL long-term depot fertilizers feature intelligent fertilizer technology derived from the professional sector. This enables needs-based fertilization with excellent immediate and long-term effects, even with just one application per year. Immediate effect: Nutrient release from day 1: The uncoated fertilizer pearls begin releasing nutrients immediately after fertilization. This provides plants with important main and trace nutrients from day one. Long-term effect: Water penetrates the fertilizer pearls, making nutrients available to the plants and releasing them as needed over a period of 6 months. The coated Osmocote fertilizer pearls are coated with a protective coating. This allows for a needs-based release of nutrients over a period of 6 months, controlled by soil moisture and temperature—exactly as the plant needs them.

Substral Long-Term Depot Fertilizer fertilizes your plants for 6 months. Therefore, the ideal application period is in spring until June at the latest.
For new plantings: Before planting, mix SUBSTRAL fertilizer and soil. Fill the planting container or hole with a small amount of fertilized soil. Plant the plants, fill with pre-fertilized soil, and press down firmly. Water thoroughly.
For existing plants: Spread the fertilizer all over the root area around the plants. Then lightly work or rake it into the soil. TIP: For containers, you can also drill holes in the soil with a pointed object and fill them with fertilizer. Then fill the holes with soil. Water afterward.
Instructions for use:
For correct dosing, we recommend using the SUBSTRAL dosing aid. Dosage instructions: 1 tsp = 5g / 1 tbsp = 15g. After the effective period has expired, the fertilizer pearl shells begin to decompose. However, they may still be visible in the soil the following year. Fertilization must still be repeated the following year. Please clean up any spills from stone slabs, wood, and other flooring, as these can cause stubborn stains.
