Effect
Purolyt quickly and reliably destroys harmful bacteria, fungi, and algae, e.g., Escherichia coli, Salmonella Typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Pythium spp./ Phytophthora spp. (root rot), Botrytis cinerea (gray mold), Peronosporaceae (downy mildew), and Erysiphaceae (powdery mildew). Biofilms in water-bearing systems are also effectively removed, preventing their re-formation.
Application
Purolyt can be applied - diluted for specific applications - by spraying, nebulizing, wiping, immersing or by adding directly to the liquid to be disinfected.
Principle of action
Purolyt uses a similar mechanism to the human body's ability to fight bacteria and viruses: When the immune system detects a virus, white blood cells are activated. These produce hypochlorous acid (HOCL), which is also the active ingredient in Purolyt. HOCL has been scientifically proven to have extremely effective disinfecting properties.
