Details: Miradent, part of Hager & Werken, has been intensively involved in the development of professional prophylactic products since 1982. These products have been developed in practice and continuously optimized.
The cause of tooth decay and periodontitis is plaque, a buildup of living and dead bacteria. This plaque can only be removed by mechanical means, such as daily brushing. Superficially, teeth look clean and feel smooth. Initially, plaque buildup is invisible.

The miradent Plaque Test has proven its worth in dental practices for years. The tablets provide a striking coloring effect on plaque. Older plaque appears blue, newer plaque appears pink. To perform the plaque test, chew one tablet thoroughly (half a tablet is sufficient for children) and distribute it around the mouth with a little saliva. Carefully spit it out – done! The coloring can be easily removed by simply brushing your teeth.
Plaque formation is clearly visible thanks to the two-color display. Older plaque appears blue, newer plaque pink.
