Protein is an important building block in the body, accounting for approximately 15-17% of an adult's body mass. It serves as a building block for the growth and maintenance of muscle mass and the maintenance of normal bones. Mammut Whey Protein has a naturally high BCAA content. Shortly after consuming Mammut Whey Protein, the amino acid level in the blood rises, making it particularly suitable before and after training. A high amino acid content in the blood leads to better supply to the muscles before or after training. The abbreviation BCAA stands for "branched-chain amino acids." These include L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine. Amino acids are the basic building blocks of all proteins and therefore important for the body. The BCAAs contained in whey protein are three of the eight essential amino acids that our bodies must obtain from food, as they are unable to produce themselves. Mammut recommends mixing 25 g (3 level scoops) of whey protein with 300 ml of low-fat milk (1.5%). A good time to consume protein is immediately after training, as strength training in particular stimulates muscle protein synthesis. Whey protein is also suitable as a snack.
