The active ingredient OMTEC 50 contained in Doppelherz Fat Binder has a high lipid-binding capacity and reduces fat and calorie absorption from food. It supports a weight-reducing diet or can be used for weight control in combination with a fat-conscious diet. OMTEC 50 forms a gel-like substance in the stomach that mixes with food. This process extracts fat from the food and binds it in an insoluble form. These bound fats do not enter the metabolism but are excreted undigested.
Ingredients
One capsule contains 500 mg OMTEC 50. Other ingredients are magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. Capsule: Hypromellose (HPMC)
Instructions for use
Recommended intake to support a weight-reducing diet: Take 2-3 capsules twice daily 15 minutes before a main meal with a large glass of water (≥ 250 ml). Recommended intake to support weight control as part of a fat-conscious diet: Take 1-2 capsules twice daily 15 minutes before a main meal with a large glass of water (≥ 250 ml). Do not chew or bite the capsules! To ensure that you do not fall below your daily requirement of the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K or essential fatty acids, Doppelherz Fat Binder should only be taken before two of your three main meals at most. Ensure that the third meal contains the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K as well as essential fatty acids. If necessary, a multivitamin supplement can help meet your vitamin requirements. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Overdoses (> 6 capsules per day) of Doppelherz Fat Binder do not improve the effect of the product, but may increase possible side effects.
Warnings
Do not take Doppelherz Fat Binder for more than 30 consecutive days. Treatment can be resumed after a 4-day break. Do not take other medications (e.g., contraceptives), vitamins, or essential fatty acids at the same time as Doppelherz Fat Binder. Oral medications must be taken 1 hour before or 4 hours after taking Doppelherz Fat Binder. Speak to your doctor before taking Doppelherz Fat Binder if you need to take medication with main meals. If you experience constipation or other side effects, you must stop taking Doppelherz Fat Binder immediately and consult a doctor.
