Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% is an antiseptic mouthwash used for temporary supportive treatment of bacterial gingivitis. The mouthwash combats inflammation-causing bacteria in 60 seconds* and reduces bacterial adhesion by forming a protective film on teeth, gums, and the oral mucosa. The antibacterial mouthwash thus protects teeth from excessive plaque formation for up to 12 hours, thus helping with gingivitis. Good to know: Bacteria are the main component of dental plaque and, in most cases, the cause of gingivitis. The following applies to adults and children 12 years and older: Rinse the mouth twice a day – ideally in the morning and evening after meals and brushing – with 10 ml of Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% for one minute and then spit out the medicine. Do not rinse with water and do not swallow the solution. Do not use more than the stated maximum amount. Children between 6 and 12 years of age should only use Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% after consulting a doctor or pharmacist. Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% must not be used by children under 6 years of age.
