Canesten EXTRA Cream thoroughly and specifically treats fungal infections of the hands and feet. Canesten EXTRA Cream can be used to treat fungal infections such as filamentous fungi, mold, and yeast. The cream, containing the active ingredient bifonazole, penetrates the skin, inhibits the proliferation of germs, and combats all relevant pathogens that trigger skin or foot mycosis. Bifonazole also has additional anti-inflammatory effects and relieves symptoms. Unlike many other antifungal treatments, Canesten EXTRA Cream only needs to be applied once a day and is quickly absorbed into the skin. The cream is waterproof and therefore ideal for sports and leisure activities.
Application is simple: Clean the affected areas with water and dry them thoroughly. Then apply a thin layer of cream and massage it in briefly. It is recommended to apply the cream in the evening before going to bed. Repeat this process daily. Typical symptoms such as burning, itching, and redness are usually relieved within 3 days. On average, treatment lasts between 2 and 4 weeks.
