Ingredients: Active ingredient per 1 ml of solution: 0.50 mg tetryzoline hydrochloride. Other ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride; Sorbitol (Ph. Eur.); Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate; Sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (Ph. Eur.); Hypromellose; Water for injections. Frequently asked questions: What do I need to consider as a contact lens wearer when using Berberil® N EDO® eye drops? In the case of irritated eyes, wearing glasses would generally be more beneficial, as the eyes are irritated by the symptoms of the disease. If the ophthalmologist permits the wearing of contact lenses in exceptional cases, the following must be observed: Remove the contact lenses before instilling the drops and do not reinsert them until 15 minutes after instilling the drops. How long can I continue to use the opened bottle after first use? The eye drops must not be used for longer than 6 weeks after opening. How should Berberil® N EDO® eye drops be stored? Since Berberil® N EDO® eye drops should not be swallowed, it is important that you keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children. Do not store the eye drops above 25°C. To instill the drops, tilt your head back. With the index finger of one hand, pull the lower eyelid downwards. With the other hand, hold the single-dose ophtiole vertically over the eye without touching the eye and instill 1 drop into the pulled-down conjunctival sac. Close your eye slowly and move it back and forth to ensure the drops are evenly distributed. To avoid possible increased absorption of the active ingredient through the nasal mucosa, especially in children, the tear ducts should be closed with your fingers for 1 minute after applying the eye drops.
