They contain the same water content as the natural cornea (78%) and mimic the function of the lipid layer, which minimizes the evaporation of the tear film. Biotrue ONEday was specially designed to correct myopia or hyperopia (nearsightedness or farsightedness). Thanks to dehydration protection, Biotrue ONEday lenses hardly dry out: Even after 16 hours of contact lens wear, the moisture content decreases only slightly (by approximately 1.5%). At the same time, the lenses have high oxygen permeability, which maintains the cornea's natural metabolism from morning to night.
