A single application of Autan Multi Insect Pump Spray keeps mosquitoes away for up to 8 hours and ticks and biting flies away for up to 4 hours, and is also effective against tiger mosquitoes for up to 6 hours. The active ingredient icaridin (also known as Bayrepel) ensures that mosquitoes are repelled. However, it is important to apply the product completely. Otherwise, the mosquitoes will seek out the areas that have not been treated with the repellent. After this time, or as needed, you should repeat the application. For the area of one forearm, for example, we recommend using 6-7 sprays / 1 ml. Please note that Autan is not waterproof, so always reapply the protection after bathing/swimming. Sweat and abrasion also reduce the effect sooner, so you will need to spray more often if necessary. For use on the face, we recommend spraying the spray onto the palms of your hands and then spreading it over the face. Please avoid the eye area. By the way, mosquitoes can also bite through very thin clothing, so you should also apply it underneath clothing if necessary. It is always crucial to apply the product evenly.
