Alcotec 48 Pure is a “dual” turbo yeast.
Simply change the amount of sugar used to change how it works.
It can ferment 6 kg / 25 liters up to 14% in 48 hours!
- or 8 kg / 25 liters up to 20% in 5 days!
You simply choose how much sugar to add.
This is a very friendly yeast strain as it is temperature tolerant and therefore perfect for our diverse climates.
This turbo yeast is much more tolerant to high temperatures than the Alcotec 24 or other older recipes such as Alcotec 6 or Alcotec 8.
The optimum is still an ambient temperature (and liquid) of around 25°C, but it is not a disaster if the ambient temperature shoots up a little above 30°C.
