Over time, everything is subject to some degree of deterioration – and when it comes to your car, corrosion is your worst enemy .
Fortunately, there are products that eliminate rust and protect your vehicle components . Every rust problem is unique—that's why it's important to choose the right product for your situation. NHOU® Rust Converter is one of those solutions!
Rust, also known as iron oxide , is formed by a chemical reaction between iron, oxygen, and water . The metal loses its original properties—it becomes porous and brittle.
If this process is not stopped, the rust will continue to eat into the material and can ultimately lead to total failure of the affected component .
Rust converters are designed to chemically neutralize existing rust and prevent further damage.
A central component is tannic acid – this combines with iron oxide (rust) to form a stable, black complex called tannate .
In addition, many rust converters contain a polymer that forms a protective surface layer and prepares the metal for further treatment (e.g. paint or underbody protection).
In short:
A rust converter transforms corroded iron or steel into a stable protective layer , thus stopping the rusting process.
The NHOU® rust converter is a rust-inhibiting coating that transforms rusty metal surfaces into a paintable, rust-retarding surface after just 20 minutes .
When applied to rusted surfaces, the iron oxide is chemically converted into iron phosphate – a hard, black, inactive substance that significantly improves the adhesion of paints and the durability of the protection .
Coverage: Up to 46 m² per gallon (approx. 3.8 l)

Long-term protection
You can use the NHOU® rust converter on almost all rusted iron or steel parts , for example:
Vehicles (cars, trucks, vintage cars)
Fences & garden gates
Trailer
Iron and steel railings
Stairs
cast iron
Sheet metal cladding
Outside of tanks
Garden tools & mowers
agricultural machinery
tractors
Time savings:
No laborious grinding or sandblasting necessary – the chemical process is faster and protects the material.
Integrated primer:
Many rust converters also serve as a metal primer and stop the further spread of corrosion.
Cost savings:
Extends the lifespan of your components and tools – saves replacement costs.
Ideal for restorations:
The rust converter is an indispensable tool , especially for classic cars and DIY projects – before and after pictures impressively demonstrate the effect.
Do not use below 2 °C (36 °F)
The surface must be clean and dry
